How It All Started

I became an occupational therapist in 2018 and have spent most of my career working with older adults. Over the years, I noticed the same issue popping up again and again—people’s homes just weren’t working for them anymore.

Sometimes it was the stairs that made it impossible to return home safely. Other times, it was the narrow doorways or a bathroom that couldn’t fit a wheelchair. Many seniors were also overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff they had collected over the years and didn’t know where to begin. They felt stuck—like they didn’t have any other option but to stay.

That’s why I started Downsizing Alaska. I combine my background in healthcare with real estate to help seniors transition into homes that truly support their needs. I also work closely with adult children and loved ones to ensure the process is smooth, everyone is informed and feels confident in the decisions being made. Whether it’s planning ahead, right-sizing into a “forever” home, or navigating a move during a crisis, I’m here to take the stress out of the process and provide guidance every step of the way.
